Refrigerant PT Charts

Use this refrigerant pressure-temperature hub to look up saturation values for R-410A, R-454B, R-32, or R-22. The interactive lookup reads committed one-degree chart data from −40°F through 150°F, shows bubble and dew values separately, and does not extrapolate outside the source range. Use the equipment manufacturer’s charging procedure for field decisions. Use the TierMenu chart links and lookup below to check a saturation value.

Go straight to a full table: the R-410A pressure-temperature chart, the R-454B bubble and dew chart, the R-32 saturation table, or the R-22 chart for existing systems.

Interactive pressure-temperature lookup

Choose a refrigerant and enter either temperature or pressure. Negative gauge pressure is shown as vacuum and is not treated as a saturation-table value.

How to read a pressure-temperature chart

A PT chart reports saturation conditions, not a required operating pressure or a charging target. Enter a known temperature to get bubble and dew pressures, or enter a gauge pressure to look up the matching saturation temperatures. The lookup uses linear interpolation between the committed 1°F rows and returns no value beyond the source range.

For superheat, compare suction-line temperature with the dew saturation temperature at suction pressure. For subcooling, compare bubble saturation temperature at liquid pressure with liquid-line temperature. The linked calculators perform those subtractions; the system manufacturer determines the target and required conditions.

R-454B and R-32 are A2L refrigerants. Follow applicable A2L service procedures and equipment instructions. R-22 information on this site is a reference for servicing existing systems only.

Sources and assumptions

  • R-410A, R-32 and R-22 rows are committed CoolProp 8.0.0 saturation data; runtime lookups do not call a property engine.
  • R-454B rows come from the Thermodynamic Properties of Opteon XL41 (R-454B). Source psia values are converted to psig by subtracting 14.696 psi.
  • Each reference table contains one-degree rows from −40°F through 150°F. The interactive lookup interpolates within that range and never extrapolates.
  • These charts are field references, not equipment-specific charging procedures. Confirm the correct source, refrigerant, measurement point and manufacturer requirements.

Refrigerant PT chart FAQs

What is a refrigerant pressure-temperature chart?

A PT chart pairs refrigerant saturation pressure with temperature. These charts provide both directions of lookup within each published data range.

Why are bubble and dew pressures listed separately?

Blend refrigerants can have temperature glide. Bubble corresponds to saturated liquid and dew to saturated vapor; keep the columns separate and use the one appropriate to the measurement.

Which refrigerants are included?

This hub links to R-410A, R-454B, R-32 and R-22 saturation charts, each with an interactive lookup and printable reference PDF.

Do the charts provide charging targets?

No. Use the equipment manufacturer's charging instructions and operating conditions. The charts provide saturation lookups only.

How is R-454B sourced?

R-454B uses the Chemours Opteon XL41 pressure-temperature table. Other committed rows are generated using the listed CoolProp version.
